Request to admit to their house John Gourney esquire, whom the king has sent thither willing to make him provision of maintenance, and to minister to him for life such corrody or maintenance every year as Richard Sturgeon or Richard Harefelde deceased or any other person heretofore had or ought to have had, making him letters patent under the common seal of the house with mention of what he shall take, and writing again by the bearer what they will do. Warrewyk 'gentilman,' to the king. Recognisance for 600l., to be levied etc. in the county and city aforesaid.
Condition, that whereas for causes specially moving him and the council by letters patent of 8 August, 35 Henry VI, the king with advice and assent of the council granted to the said Henry, by name of Henry Fylongley his esquire keeper of his great wardrobe, that he, his deputies, factors or attorneys native or alien should in the king's name and to his use for the expenses of the wardrobe once or divers times at their pleasure ship in one or more galleys, carracks, ships or vessels in the ports of London and Cicestre 600 sacks of wool, parcel of 2,000 sacks appointed by like advice and assent to be shipped and carried beyond the mountains, and carry the same thither or through the straits of Marrok, reckoning and answering to the king at the rate of 4 marks a sack only, and may keep the 4 marks in their own hands to the king's use, the whole of that wool shall truly be carried beyond the mountains or through the said straits, and within one year after shipment letters testimonial under seal of the city of Milan or Cumae shall be brought into chancery witnessing that the same was taken thither to one of them.
