Memorandum of a writ delivered 30 June last to the sheriff of Gloucester (text follows), tested at Westminster, 22 June, 3 Edward IV, whereby he was ordered to attach William Frankom, so as to have him in chancery in the octaves of St. Hilary next to answer for his contempt and concerning other things laid against him; as for particular causes laid before him in chancery, the king did order the said William by writ under a pain therein contained to leave all else and, ceasing every excuse, to be in person in chancery at a day now past in order to answer touching what should be laid against him, and though long before the said day that writ was delivered to him, as brother William Gilbert has made oath in chancery, he took no heed so to appear, in contempt of the king.
