Westminster.
John Nowers of Takley co. Oxford esquire, to William Pende citizen and draper of London. Recognisance for 200l., to be levied etc. in Oxfordshire.
Condition, that he shall keep all covenants, conditions and payments contained in indentures of this date, made between the said John and William, or cause the same to be kept.

John Cobbe citizen and 'haberdassher' of London, to Henry Assheborne writer of court hand and Thomas Warfeld dyer citizens of London, their heirs, executors and assigns. Gift of all his goods and chattels in the city and suburbs of London and elsewhere within the realm and over seas, and all debts to him due; and in name of seisin thereof he has delivered to them six silver spoons. Dated London, 4 February, 6 Edward IV.
Memorandum of acknowledgment, 17 February.
John Nowers squire and William Pende citizen and draper of London. Indenture reciting a lease for seven years of the manor of Carsewell Merssh in Berkshire made by the feoffees unto the use of John Nowers and Clemence his wife for 70l. to them paid, unto William Pende, paying yearly a red rose at Midsummer if asked, and witnessing a covenant that John Nowers shall bear all reparations and edifyings with all ordinary charges; that if the said Clemence decease within the term the feoffes shall make a lease unto the said William and his assigns for seven years in like manner of the manor of Idbury with the appurtenances Bolde and Foxcote to the same pertaining, except fines, heriettes and perquisites of courts, with the costs, damages and leases of the said William in that part had, forseen always that the said John and Clemence bind them that, if they or any in their names sith Michelmas last have received the farm or any parcell of the manor of Carsewell Merssh, or if the said John hath made any other lease or graunte, to pay the sum underwritten, and repay the said farm or parcell of money; and the said John and Clemence all the said manors, confirming the lease of the feoffees, during the term of seven years unto the said William and his assigns shall warrant, and the said John bindeth himself etc. in 200l. for to pay as often as he maketh default in these premisses, as by a recognisance in the chauncery appeareth. Given and sealed 2 March, 6 Edward IV. English.

Robert Aleyn, William Rotheley, Roger Rotheley and William Shugburgh of Dertford co. Kent, to Thomas Boost of the same, his heirs and assigns. Charter of demise of all the lands, rents and services, woods, marshes etc. in the towns and parishes of Dertforde, Stone, Bexle, Sutton atte Hone or elsewhere in Kent which they had by feoffment of John Boost, deceased. Witnesses William Worth, Walter Heth, John Gulby, John Pytte, Richard Holt. Dated Dertforde, 3 June, 30 Henry VI.
