John Bernard, to Matthew Hay, esquire and Anne his wife, their heirs and assigns. Demise and confirmation of the tenement called the 'Pecok' situate in St. Margaret's parish, Suthwerk co. Surrey, to wit between the lands of the master and confraternity of St. Thomas the Martyr on the south, and 'The Bernacle on the Hope' on the north, from the king's highway on the west, to the lands of the aforesaid master etc. on the east: to be held by the above Matthew and Anne for term of their lives without waste in capital demesne as of fee etc. Witnesses: William Cornewe 'gentilman,' John Hunt, Hugh Alston, Thomas Marton, Richard Birde. Dated Suthwerke, 15 December, 6 Edward IV.
