Robert son of William Barell, to John Osborne alias Batyn, his kinsman, his heirs and assigns. Gift and confirmation by indenture with warranty of an open space of two acres of land with a barn in the parish of Warmyster co. Wilts, lying between the bank of water called the 'Brooke,' the highway leading to a township called the 'Vize' and the bridge of Warmyster, to be held in perpetuity for the annual rent of 16d. with the usual clause of distress after six weeks non-payment of the same. And appointment of William Eve and Nicholas Beche as his attorneys etc. to convey seisin of the above premises. Witnesses: Richard Chokke, knight, justice of the Common Bench, master John Carpenter, vicar of Warminster, Thomas Chaffyn. Dated Warminster, 10 February, 13 Edward IV.
The same, to the same etc. Gift of a tenement and barn called 'Mainsplace' at Warminster, where William Eve now dwells for an annual rent of four marks, under condition that no one in his name shall molest the said John Osbourne in his tenancy according to the effect of a charter dated 10 February, 13 Edward IV, with the usual clause of distress and witnesses (as above).

Feb. 9. Edmund Lyte, late of Compton Chamberleyne co. Wilts, to William Lucy, esquire. Bond in 200l., payable at the Nativity of St. John Baptist next or levied in Wiltshire or elsewhere.
Condition, that if the said Edmund personally appear before the king in chancery on the morrow of the feast abovenamed, and if he or other in his name shall not have taken rents arising or to arise of the above manor of Compton Chamberleyne from Michaelmas last past to St. John Baptist next, nor have cut down any trees on the manor or growing therein, 'firebote' for his house alone excepted, nor have held the manor or any part thereof by force or arms against the said William Lucy, then this recognisance shall be avoided etc.

Order to forbid the said John, Robert Walron, Cristina Walron or any of their feoffees, pending the decision of a petition brought by Edward Hungerford, esquire, against them and Walter Sambourne, as is on record in the chancery files, concerning the manors of Cadenham and Stodeley, to bring any pleas, actions, suits, quarrels, assizes, attachments or executions touching the abovenamed manors in any courts before justices by writ of assize, of novel disseisin or any other writ, until the matters at dispute be finally settled, under penalty of 1000 marks. Order to cause proclamation to be made that no one of whatever rank or state cause a breach of the king's peace under pain of imprisonment or carry defensive arms, lances, lanceleves, gleaves, pollaxes, swords, short or twohandled, long daggers, mauls or clubs within the county under the said pain and forfeiture of arms, and to arrest and hold in prison all those who shall disobey this proclamation until orders come from the king, touching their enlargement from gaol.
