Forasmuch as the king upon certain grants made to him by his loving subjects in this parliament assembled, and by authority of the same, as in an act thereof more plainly appeareth; for an army royal by his highness to be made outwards for the defence and public weal of his realm, intendeth effectually of his knightly courage the undelayed expedition and hasty setting forth of his army: he commandeth all lords and captains as have intended to attend the same and received wages, that they prepare them with their revenues according to the purport of these indentures between them and the king, and that they in their best array be ready to appear before him at Portsdown and Southampton, 26 May next: and moreover our lord for the advancing of the army hath deputed commissioners in every shire, city, borough etc. to have the receipts of the fifteenths and tenths in parliament granted, and wills that it be delivered to them according to the tenor of this act. Memorandum, that on 21 August, 14 Edward IV, John Malory, Marmaduke Lomley, John Turbervyle and John Kendall, brethren of the hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England in the name of the brethren and preceptors of the hospital presented to the king, in a room called the wardrobe within his palace of Westminster, Robert Multon, whom they had elected prior in unanimity after the the death of William Torney, requesting, that he might receive the royal assent to his election, and administer his duties in the accustomed manner: on which the king admitted him to that office, and the new prior paid him fealty in the following manner. English text follows. 'I shall be faithful and true, and faith and truth shall bear to the king our sovereign lord and to his heirs kings of England of life and limb and of earthly worship for to live and die against all people, and diligently I shall be intendent unto the king's needs and besoignes after my wit and power: and the king's counsel I shall keep, and to him and his commandments in that, that to me attaineth and belongeth, I shall be obeissant as God help me and his saints,' under oath that the fealty shall not be to the prejudice of the prior or his successors in future.

Indenture tripartite between John le Straunge, lord Straunge, Knokyn and Mohun on the one part, and Sir John Fogge, John Wode clerk, Richard Haute, John Elryngton, John Hulcote, Nicholas Gaynesforde esquires, and Thomas Stydolff on the other part, witnesses that where Richard duke of York, Thomas Gray, the queen's son, Anthony earl Ryvers, Robert bishop of Bath and Wells, Edward bishop of Carlisle, John bishop of Rochester, Richard Fenys lord Dacre and the said John Fogge were enfeoffed in fee simple of the manor of Colham and of all lands and tenements, rents, reversions and services lying in the parishes of Woxbrigge and Hillyngton co. Middlesex, and Denham co. Buckingham, and of two watermills in Denham late of the said lord Straunge, to the intent that Sir John Fogge and the others should receive 40l. a year, with reasonable costs to levy the same during a term of fifteen years, for the payment of 592l. 18s. 10d. debt due by the said lord Straunge to John Alburgh mercer of London: wherefore John Fogge, John Wode etc. are bound by obligation to pay the same 40l. to divers persons at the nomination of John Alburgh; and by sufferance of the feoffees the said lord shall have during his life the issues and profits of the said manors above the 40l. and in the last of the fifteen years of the lease 47l. 14s.: and Jaquetta his wife shall receive the same after her husband's death during the term; but if it happen that Sir John Fogge and the others be lett or troubled in receiving the said rent, or damaged in the letting, so that they must pay the same out of their own goods, then they shall be seised of the manors and shall take the revenues until fully content of such costs: and after they be so content the said duke of York, Thomas Grey and John Fogge shall after the death of John Straunge and Jaquetta his wife make due estate to their heirs with remainder to their right heirs. Westminster.
To the collectors of the subsidy of 3s. on the tun and 12d. in the pound in the port of London for the time being. Order to allow John Lupy de Ernyalde and Antonio de Olaysola, merchants of Ipuscoe (Guipazcoa) in Spain, their factors or attorneys, a moiety of all the subsidies, customs or deniers from merchandise carried to this realm in ships and carracks, and exported thence, until they should have received the sum of one thousand marks, free of all payment to the king or his heirs. Since by letters patent of February 3 last, the king made them this grant in full settlement of the sum of seven crowns (scutorum) ravished from the above Lupe and Antonio on the sea by certain pirates, the king's subjects, contrary to the form of truce between him and his kinsman, the king of Castile and Leon, to be paid by indentures between them and the collectors of the subsidies in any port in which the merchandise of the said John and Antonio shall happen to be carried, free of all actions and demands, taking of them one part of the indentures whereby the customers shall be discharged at the exchequer.
To the collectors of customs and subsidies in the port of Sandwich for the time being. Like instruction.
