Memorandum of the delivery for execution on 26 November, 18 Edward IV, addressed to Christopher Hanyngton and William Curteys, deputies of the sheriff of Kent, of a writ, directing the sheriff to attach Richard Gylforde alias Gilford, late of Rolvynden co. Kent, esquire, so that he appear in chancery on the morrow of the Purification next, to answer Thomas cardinal archbishop of Canterbury: and like order to attach Henry Auger esquire, late of Newenden: and John Waller esquire, late of Spelleherst co. Kent to answer the said archbishop concerning 400 marks which they owe him and have not yet paid.

Memorandum of the delivery for execution of a writ addressed to William Nanson, deputy of the sheriff of Nottingham, ordering him to attach the body of Edmund Cokayne son of John Cokayne knight, who, on 8 March, 19 Henry VI, before William Estfeld then mayor of the staple of Westminster for the admission of debtors, acknowledged that he owed 100 marks to John Bate, dean of the collegiate church of Tamworth, which he should have paid on the Nativity of St. John Baptist next, but has not yet done so: and hold him in prison until by a valuation of his lands and chattels the above debt may be fully satisfied, informing the king of the manner of the execution of this writ.

Memorandum of the delivery for execution of a writ tested at Westminster, 5 July, to William Nanson, deputy of the sheriff of Nottingham, directing him to attach the bodies of Robert Fraunceys of Fornwerk co. Derby and John Wastnesse of Hedon in the Clay co. Nottingham, who on 5 May, 37 Henry VI, before Geoffrey Feldyng, then mayor of the staple of Westminster, admitted that they owed 400l. sterling to John Bate, due at Michaelmas following, but yet unpaid; order to detain the said Robert and John in prison, and make a valuation of their lands and chattels for the settlement of the said debt.
