John Shillyngford,. to William Huddesfeld the king's attorney. Bond in 400 marks, payable at Easter next. Dated 22 November, 20 Edward IV.
Condition, that if the abovenamed John on his part faithfully carry out all conditions and articles in certain indentures dated 22 November made between them, that then this obligation shall be voided or else stand in full strength.
Nov. 22. This indenture between William Huddysfeld of the one part and John son of William Shillyngford of London of the other, witnesseth that where the said John hath sold the manor and lordship of Shillyngford to the said William and his heirs for the sum of 40l., paid out of hand, and other sums to him aforetime paid, the said John granteth that before 1 March next, at the pleasure of the said William, he shall make him and his heirs a sufficient estate in law as shall be advised by William and his counsel of the said manor, and also deliver to him all manner of charters, evidences and writings concerning the sums, and the said William granteth that within six weeks after the estate so made, he shall make to Mabel, mother of John, for term of her life, a sufficient lease in law of the said manor. In witness whereof etc. English.
