Memorandum of the delivery of a writ to William Counser as deputy of the sheriff of Surrey, dated 28 November, ordering him to cause proclamation to be made in Guldeford and other towns in Surrey, to summon Henry Elyot of Wonersh and Roger Elyot of Shalford to appear before the king at Hilary next, under penalty of 500l., to be levied of their lands and chattels to answer charges brought against them.

Indenture between Thomas son of Sir Robert Byllesdon, and Simon Byllesdon an executor of his will, witnessing that whereas in chancery on 5 June last, it was decreed by the cardinal archbishop of Canterbury as chancellor that the said Simon and William Werboys, his co-executor, should pay Thomas 52l. 10s. out of the issues of lands of the yearly value of 10l., of which Sir Robert for a marriage between Thomas his son and Elizabeth . . . made estate to them before the Purification, 4 Henry VII; Simon has now paid Thomas 20l., and has caused Thomas Boterell, draper of London, to be bound to him by several obligations in 32l. 10s. etc. English.

Condition, that if Thomas Marshall, Richard Webbe, Richard Lyvett, Thomas Huchyns and William Berkeley, collectors of the second fifteenths in Gloucester, pay at that date to Sir Reynold Bray such sums as have been collected in arrears, or appear at Westminster to submit their bodies to prison in default of such payments, then this recognisance shall be voided etc.

Stafford: and will make him a legal estate of the same before the Ascension next with warranty in fee simple, delivering all evidences, muniments etc. concerning the premises before 4 May: for which bargain so kept the said Sir Henry will pay them 382l., i.e. 120l. at date of sealing, 40l. on May 4 and 40l. on St. David's day etc.: and if the same be entailed, they will grant him an equivalent amount of land elsewhere. Affirmation by William Spynk, prior of Holy Trinity Norwich, to carry out the charitable bequests of Walter Lybert, formerly bishop of Norwich, who bequeathed 100 marks, a cape of russet tissue, a vestment with dalmatic of gold, silk called 'Bawdekyn' and two capes to the see, with 100l. for the scholars of Oxford, repairs to the church and pavement: and 400 marks to his executors William Pykenham, John Bulman and James Hoberd for a perpetual chantry, to be provided by the said prior to say masses for the souls of Walter Lybert and Thomas Browne late bishops, John Lybert and Richard Hodge monks, to receive 2s. 4d. for attendance at the same, with specific ritual to be observed thereat: and priests without fraud or bad faith to preach in all churches of the diocese and the cathedral on Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter: or if not properly performed, the executors will advise the prior to reform the same: to which conditions the prior and convent have bound themselves. Indenture between Henry lord Grey and Sir Reynold Bray, whereby the said lord has sold Sir Reynold the manors of Newebotell and Chorleton with all lands and tenements, rents, reversions, services, meadows and pastures therein, and in Purston and Astrop co. Northampton, and will make a lawful estate thereof to him before Martinmas, discharged of all rents, statutes of the staple and other charges: and he will cause Sir William Stanley the chamberlain and all persons seised thereof to his use to release to Reynold all his rights therein: for which covenant Sir Reynold will pay lord Grey as much money as may amount to the yearly value of the premises for eighteen and a half years, of which he has paid 60l.: the rest due to be paid fifteen days after Sir William etc. cede interest therein: and the said lord will ensue the same by fine or recovery. And he will before St. Andrews day next make a sufficient estate of the manor of Aylesford co. Kent: and the tenants shall make estate to lord Grey and Katherine his wife for term of their lives without impeachment of waste, as long as Sir Reynold holds the said manors in Northamptonshire: but if they be lawfully recovered by lord Grey, Sir Reynold shall re-occupy Aylesford manor, and lord Grey will deliver all evidences and muniments thereof to him: and for 600l. paid him, the said lord shall also make to Sir Reynold estate of the manors of Corby and Castle Bytham co. Indenture between John son of Walter Berewe and William Beynam gentleman whereby the said John will before Christmas next enfeoff by deed Sir Alexander Beynam, Reynold Hody, John Broke and William Beynam in such lands etc. whereof the said Walter Berewe was seised to his use in St. Briavellys, Ettelowe, Blakeney and Aure parish in the forest of Dene in fee simple, to the use of John Berewe and Agnes his wife, with remainder to Joan sister of John and her heirs, as specified, to be entailed in the marriage indenture of John and Agnes Berewe, between Walter Berewe and John Haresfeld father of Agnes; and in default of issue to them, to the use of William Beynam and his heirs, who is to receive 4s. a year of the profits of the 'hall' until he be contented of seven marks, should Joan have issue: or else, if John and Joan prefer to keep the money, William shall have fee simple of the premises: provided that, if John be not agreeable to perform the payments, Joan shall have no benefit of the covenant; with mutual bonds of 40l. York, in event of their failure to pay an annual rent of 25l. 11s. 7½d.: which manor the king by letters patent dated 15 May, 7 Henry VII, granted John Norton with all messuages, lands and tenements, rents, reversions, services and hereditaments in Gillyng, saving to the king all knights' fees, advowsons, wards and marriages, reliefs, homages, heriets, escheats and goods of felons and fugitives, waifs and strays: and Gillyng manor is held of the king in chief by service of a twentieth of a knight's fee and a rent of 25l.: and for failure to pay the same, the said John grants to the king ingress into his manor of Hartford co.
