By Virtue of an Order of the House of Lords, made the 21th of March, 1680, we have, this 23th of
March, examined this Journal Book:

PRAYERS.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure.
The House was resumed.
King present.
His Majesty, sitting in His Royal Throne, adorned with
His Regal Crown and Ornaments, commanded the
Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to signify to the
Commons, "That they attend His Majesty presently."
Who being come, with their Speaker;
His Majesty gave His Royal Assent to these Bills
following:
Bills passed.
"An Act for prohibiting the Importation of Cattle
from Ireland."
"An additional Act for Burying in Woollen."
To which the Royal Assent was pronounced, in these
Words,
"Le Roy le veult."
"An Act for rectifying several Errors and Mistakes
in the Marriage Settlement of Sir Charles Hoghton
Baronet."
The Royal Assent was pronounced thus,
"Soit fait come il est desiré."
Then the Lord Chancellor, by His Majesty's Command, said,
Parliament prorogued.
"My Lords and Gentlemen,
"His Majesty's Royal Will and Pleasure is, That this
Parliament be prorogued till Thursday come Sevennight,
which is the Twentieth Day of this Instant January:
And this Parliament is prorogued till Thursday the
Twentieth Day of this Instant January."
