E. Carlisle takes his Seat.

This Day Charles Earl of Carlisle sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father Edward Earl of Carlisle; and came to the Table, and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

His Writ bears Date 10° die Novembris, Quarto Gul. & Mar.

And then he took his Place on the Earls Bench.

Commitment, &c. of the E. Huntingdon, and E. of Marlborough, and E. of Scarsdale's Papers searched.

The Lord Marquis of Halifax reported from the Lords Committees appointed to draw what shall be entered in the Journal, upon the Debate Yesterday, concerning the Earl of Huntingdon, the Earl of Scarsdale, and the Earl of Marleborough's Complaint, a Resolution by them drawn.

Upon which, this following Order was made:

Judges to attend.

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all the Judges do attend this House To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock."

After Debate concerning the Complaint of the Earl of Huntingdon, the Earl of Scarsdale, and the Earl of Marleborough:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the further Debate of this Business shall be adjourned until To-morrow, Ten of the Clock.

Sedgwick versus Hitchcock.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords Committees for Petitions do meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock, to consider of the Petition of Obadiah Sedgwick, and the Answer of George Hitchcock; and that Mr. Justice Powell and Mr. Baron Powell do then attend.

Adjourn.
