PRAYERS.

Fishery in the Severn, to repeal Part of an Act for preserving.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the repealing Part of an Act made in the Thirtieth Year of King Charles the Second, for Preservation of Fishing in the River of Severne."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be read the Second Time on Wednesday the Seventh Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all Parties concerned may have Notice hereof, in order to be heard if they think fit; and this Order to be fixed upon the Doors of this House.

Carroll, L. Lucas's Servant, discharged from an Arrest.

Upon Complaint made to this House, by the Right Honourable Robert Lord Lucas, "That Maurice Carroll, his Servant, who had his Protection, was arrested, the Eight and Twentieth Instant, and is now in The Gatehouse Prison at Westm'r, at the Suit of Thomas Cole, Will'm Mathews and Elizabeth his Wife, by virtue of a Writ of Execution directed to the Sheriff of Midd'x, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Maurice Carroll shall be, and is hereby, discharged from the Imprisonment he now lies under in The Gatehouse, without paying any Fees; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To the Sheriff of Middl'x and his Under-sheriff, and to the Keeper of The Gatehouse Prison, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them, and to all other Officers whom it may concern.

Ford, Gay's Counsel, committed by Commissioners of Great Seal, Petition.

Upon reading the Petition of Edward Ford; praying, "That he may be heard, by Counsel, before the Lords Committees for Privileges, upon the Matters referred to them by this House:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Ford shall be heard, by his Counsel, before the Lords Committees for Privileges, on Monday next, at Four of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Cole versus L. Stawell & al.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing the Cause wherein John Cole is Appellant, and the Lord Stawell and others Respondents; Counsel, being called in, informed the House, "That the Lord Stawell was dead, and therefore they could not proceed:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Executors of the said late Lord Stawell shall be, and are hereby, made Respondents to the Appeal of the said John Cole depending in this House.

Pawlin and Loggin versus Whitaker.

Upon reading the Answer of Edward Whitaker (and his Petition annexed) put in to the Petition of Will'm Pawlin and William Loggin; as also upon reading the Petition of the said Pawlin and Loggin, and Consideration had thereof:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel for the said William Pawlin and William Loggin upon their Petition, as also Counsel for the said Edward Whitaker, on Tuesday the Thirteenth Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to this Point, "From what Time Edward Whitaker shall have an Account of the Bankrupt's Estate assigned to John Smith."

Hurt versus Eyre and Attorney General of the Dutchy.

Upon receiving this Day the Answers of Thomas Eyres Esquire and Edward Northey Esquire Attorney of the Dutchy of Lancaster, to the Petition and Appeal of Nicholas Hurt and Elizabeth his Wife:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Fourteenth Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Godwin versus Foscraft.

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Edmond Godwin is Appellant, and William Foscraft and others Respondents:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Thursday the Fifteenth Day of December next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

King's Answer to the Address.

The Lord President reported His Majesty's Answer to the Address Yesterday, "That His Majesty will give Directions that the Papers and Orders desired in the Address shall be sent to this House, as desired."

Indemnity Bill, for those who acted in Their Majesties Service.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for preventing Suits against such as acted for Their Majesties Service, in Defence of the Kingdom."

ORDERED, To be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the said Bill.

The House was resumed.

Clause to prevent the Council imprisoning Persons in Times of Danger.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee of the whole House have agreed that a Clause be drawn, to be added to the Bill, to prevent Imprisonments by the Council in the Time of iminent Danger for the future, by tendering the Oath already made, or any other Oath established by Parliament; and that a Sub-committee be appointed, to draw such a Clause upon the Report."

To which the House agreed.

It is ORDERED, That the Lords following do draw a Clause for that Purpose, presently, upon the Report; and the Judges present to assist:

And, after some short Time, the Lord Marquis of Halifax reported the Clause, as drawn by the Committee.

Which was read, and some Additions made to it; and it was agreed to be Part of the Bill.

ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed on the Bill, on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock.
