PRAYERS.

Jennings, Fearnley, & al. to be attached, for arresting Willisell, the E. of Thanet's Servant.

Upon Oath made, at the Bar, "That John Willisell, Servant to the Right Honourable the Earl of Thannet, a Peer of this Realm, within the Time of Privilege of Parliament, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament, was arrested, at the Suit of William Jennings, Thomas Fearnley, John Gregson, and John Whittingham:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, do forthwith attach the Bodies of the said William Jennings, Thomas Fearnley, John Gregson, and John Whittingham, and bring them in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for their Contempt; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them, and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and other His Majesty's Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.

Hawley's Bill.

The Lord Bishop of Peterborough reported the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Estate Real and Personal late of Henry Hawley, in Trustees, to be sold, or otherwise disposed, for the Benefit of his Daughters and Heirs Susanna and Mary, who are both Minors," with One Amendment, as fit to pass.

Which was read, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed.

Verdon versus Cooke.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of Sarah Verdon Widow, and James Verdon an Infant, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the One and Thirtieth Day of January, in the Four and Thirtieth Year of King Charles the Second, whereby the Court have decreed an Estate to Roger Cooke and Anthony Freeston, which was purchased by the Appellant Sarah's Husband; as also upon the Answer of Roger Coke and Anthony Freeston put in thereunto:

After due Consideration had of what was offered by Counsel thereupon, it is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Decree, from which Sarah Verdon appealed to this House, shall be, and is hereby, reversed.

Indemnity Bill, for those who acted in Their Majesties Service.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for preventing Suits against such as acted for Their Majesties Service, in Defence of the Kingdom."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had made a considerable Progress in the Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, for the House to be put into a Committee again."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Monday next, at Twelve of the Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed on the Bill, (intituled, "An Act for preventing Suits against such as acted for Their Majesties Service, in Defence of the Kingdom;") and no other Business to intervene.
