PRAYERS.

Jones to be attached; for Contempt of several Orders, by the Sheriff of Wilts.

Whereas Hugh Jones the Elder stands in Contempt of several Orders of this House; and, as by an Affidavit this Day read, he threatens to shoot any Officers that shall execute the said Orders:

It is therefore ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Sheriff of the County of Wilts shall and he is hereby required forthwith to attach the Person of the said Hugh Jones the Elder, and him safely deliver to Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies; and for so doing, this shall be a sufficient Warrant.

To the Sheriff of the County of Wilts, and his Deputy or Under Sheriff, and to all Mayors, Bailiffs, Constables, Headboroughs, and Tythingmen, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution of this Warrant, as the contrary will be answered to this House.

Free Proceedings in Parliament, Bill for.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act touching free and impartial Proceedings in Parliament."

Brandy &c. Bill to repeal Acts which prevent the Importation of, except from France.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for repealing such Parts of several former Acts, as prevent or prohibit the Importation of Foreign Brandy, Aqua Vitæ, and other Spirits, and Bacon, except from France."

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee, upon the aforesaid Bill, on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Finch versus Ditcher.

Upon reading the Petition of John Finch Respondent, to the Petition and Appeal of Nicholas Ditcher and others Appellants; praying "a Day for hearing of the said Cause; and that the Service of this Order on the Appellant's Clerk in Chancery may be good Service:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on either Side, at the Bar, on Monday the Eighteenth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Service of this Order upon the Appellant's Clerk in Chancery shall be good Service, in order thereunto.

Lomax versus Lomax.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing Counsel upon the Petition of Joshua Lomax, as also Counsel for Thomas Lomax:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel thereupon on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, the First Business.

L. Preston's Trial sent for.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Printed Trial of the Lord Preston shall be brought into this House on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Dutch. Grafton versus Justices of the King's Bench.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Debate upon the Answer of the Justices of the Court of King's Bench, to the Petition of the Dutchess of Grafton, and William Bridgeman Esquire, shall be adjourned to Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
