Edwards's Bill.

The Lord Viscount Newport reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Thomas Edwards to sell Part of his Estate, for the Payment of Debts, and to restrain and disable him to commit Waste upon the Residue of the said Estate," with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Million Act, for supplying Deficiency of, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to supply the Deficiency of the Money raised by a former Act, intituled, An Act for granting to Their Majesties certain Rates and Duties of Excise, upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for securing certain Recompenses and Advantages in the said Act mentioned to such Persons as shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Ten Hundred Thousand Pounds, towards carrying on the War against France."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.

The House was resumed.

And the Lord Godolphin reported, "That the Committee had gone through the Bill, and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

To which the House agreed; and ORDERED, that the said Bill be read the Third Time To-morrow Morning.

Sir B. Broughton versus Micklewright.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Bryan Braughton and Peter Braughton; shewing, "That they have an Appeal depending in this House, to which William Micklewright is Respondent; and praying a Day for Hearing thereof:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Twelfth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Gregory versus Brandling.

Upon reading the Petition of Charles Gregory and others, Respondents to the Appeal of Ralph Brandling Esquire, depending in this House; praying a Day for the Hearing thereof:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Sir W. Rawlinson & al. versus E. Stamford, concerning the Bill for settling the Estate of Sir J. Maynard.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir William Rawlinson Knight, Serjeant at Law, and of Dame Jane his Wife (One of the Grand-daughters of Sir John Maynard Knight, deceased), on the Behalf of themselves, and several of the Children and Grand-children of the said Sir John Maynard, and on the Behalf of Elizabeth Maynard Widow, Relict of Joseph Maynard Esquire deceased, and others; praying further Time to be heard against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling the Estate of Sir John Maynard Knight, deceased, late One of the Commissioners for the Custody of the Great Seal of England:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, what they have to object against the said Bill, on Tuesday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; at which Time Mr. Welham the Register shall attend this House, with the several Original Wills in his Custody relating to this Matter; and that the Two Lord Chief Justices do then attend.

Wallbrooke discharged.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Benjamine Wallbrooke; shewing, "That he is sorry for his Offence committed against the Right Honourable the Earl of Sandwich, a Peer of this Realm, in detaining his Lordship's Coach and Horses; and begs the Pardon of this House for the same:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Benjamine Wallbrooke shall be, and he is hereby, discharged (paying his Fees); and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them.

Frere's Bill.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Henry Frere an Insant, to raise Monies, for inning and recovering other Parts thereof now under Water, and for Payment of Debts charged thereon," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

E. of Montagu & al. versus E. of Bath & al.

Then the House proceeded to hear Counsel further, in the Cause of the Earl of Montagu and others Appellants, against the Earl of Bathe and others Respondents.

And, after some Time spent therein, the Counsel withdrew; and the House agreed, to proceed to hear Counsel further therein To-morrow Morning.

Adjourn.
