Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Payment of the Debts of George Turner Esquire, deceased."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir Lacon Wm. Child:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

J. Brown attached, for Breach of Privilege against the E. of Portland, refcued dy Ed. Brown & al.

Upon reading the Petition of Lancelot Emmot, Deputy to the Serjeant at Arms attending this House; shewing, "That he having in his Custody John Browne a Bailiff, by an Order of this House, for a Breach of Privilege against the Right Honourable the Earl of Portland, a Peer of this Realm; and that the said Browne, in going Home to his House, made his Escape from the Petitioner; and that, he being informed that he was at Wooxbridge, he did with one Wallbrooke go thither, and retake the said Browne, who was by Force taken away from him, by Edward Browne and his Wife, and the Wife of the said John Browne, and divers others unknown to the Petitioner;" and upon Oath made of the same:

Ed. Brown & al to be attached.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Bodies of the said John Browne Senior and his Wife, and the said Edward Browne his Son, and his Wife, and bring them in safe Custody to the Bar of this House to answer for their Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Roger Charnock Esquire, Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them, and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and other Their Majesties Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof, as the contrary will be answered to this House.

Sir W. Rawlinson against the Bill for settling Sir J. Maynard's Estate.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the further Consideration of the Petition of Sir Wm. Rawlinson (against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling the Estate of Sir John Maynard Knight, deceased, late One of the Lords Commissioners for the Custody of the Great Seal of England,") shall be resumed on Saturday next.

Bp. Exon versus Hele, in Error.

This Day the Lord Chief Justice Holt, in the usual Manner, brought in a Writ of Error, wherein Jonathan Lord Bishop of Exeter is Plaintiff, and Sampson Hele Defendant.

After hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Payment of the Debts of John Lord Stawell, lately deceased:"
