D'Offarrell, Nat. Bill.

The Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "Act Act for naturalizing of Johanna D'Offarrell an Infant, and her Sister and Two Brothers," as fit to pass, with One Amendment.

Which was read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendment.

Harris versus Hicks et al.

Upon reading the Petition of Elizabeth Harris Widow, Christopher Coke, and others, Respondents to the Appeal of John Hicks; shewing, "That the Appellant hath brought his Appeal, purely to obstruct the Petitioners Proceedings in the Court of Chancery, for enforcing the Execution of the Decree appealed from; and praying that a short Day may be appointed for hearing thereof:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Fifth Day of April next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Bp. Salisbury Leave to be absent.

Leave was this Day given to the Lord Bishop of Salisbury, to go into the Country.

Salt-petre, for Importation of, Bill:

After hearing Counsel this Day, for the East India Company, against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Importation of Salt-petre for One Year," as also Counsel for the Bill; and Consideration had thereof:

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Importation of Salt-petre, for One Year."

Master of the Ordnance, Information concerning it.

Then the Lord Viscount Sidney, Master of the Ordnance, gave the House an Account, of what Information he had received from the East India Company touching Salt-petre, and how the Stores of the Ordnance were furnished therewith; as also the Opinion of the Board of Ordnance, in relation to the Quantity of Saltpetre that is necessary for the Service of the King and Kingdom.

Whereupon it is ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Adjourn.
