That the Commons will give a Conference, as desired.

Hicks & al. versus Harris & al.

After hearing Counsel upon the Petition and Appeal of John Hicks Esquire, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Eighth Day of July, in the Third Year of Their Majesties Reign, in certain Causes there depending; one of them, between Elizabeth Harris Widow, Christopher Cook and Mary his Wife, John Watts, Richard Turner, and Dorothy his Wife, Robert Meadows and Elizabeth his Wife, Plaintiffs, Elizabeth Martyn Widow, Relict and Administratrix of John Martyn Esquire, lately deceased, Katherine Stutt Spinster, and the Petitioners Defendants; and the other of them, between the said Elizabeth Martyn Plaintiff, and the said Elizabeth Harris, Christopher Cook and Mary his Wife, John Watts, Richard Turner and Dorothy his Wife, Robert Meadows, and Elizabeth his Wife, Katherine Stutt, and the Petitioners, Defendants; as also upon the Answer of the said Elizabeth Harris Widow, Christopher Cook and Mary his Wife, John Watts, Katherine Pyle Widow, Richard Turner and Dorothy his Wife, and Robert Meadows and Elizabeth his Wife, Coheirs and Relations of John Martyn, late of Exeter, Esquire, deceased, put in thereunto:

After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That that Part of the Decree complained of in the Petition and Appeal of John Hicks, which relates to the Payment of the Interest for the Purchase-money from the Time of the Purchase, shall be, and is hereby, reversed; and that the Appellant shall pay Interest for such Part of the Purchase-money as is unpaid, from the respective Times the said Purchase-money was agreed to be paid.

Conference upon Ld. Stawell's Bill.

The Commons being come to the Conference, the Managers Names were read; and the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference.

Which being ended, the House was resumed.

And the Duke of Somerset reported, "That the Managers had delivered the Reasons to the Commons, as commanded."

Paise versus Hindmarsh.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Paise; praying a Day may be appointed for hearing of his Appeal, to which John Hindmarsh Esquire and Julian his Wife, Izabella Bigg, and William Procter, are Respondents:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Eleventh Day of this Instant April, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
