Ld. Clifford of Launsb. takes his Seat,

This Day Charles Lord Clifford of Launsburgh sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father Charles late Lord Clifford of Launsburgh; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Whether Orders, &c. of this House, and Copies of Records and Acts, are within the Act for Stamp Duties.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That To-morrow this House will take into Consideration, "Whether the Orders and Proceedings of this House, and Copies of their Records, and of Acts of Parliament, are chargeable within the Act for granting to Their Majesties several Duties upon Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, for Four Years, towards carrying on the War against France;" and that all the Judges do then attend.

Phillips versus Bury, in Error.

Whereas there is a Writ of Error brought into this House, wherein Robert Phillips is Plaintiff, and Arthur Bury Defendant; upon which Writ the Plaintiff hath assigned Errors:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Defendant Arthur Bury shall and he is hereby required to join Issue thereupon, on or before Tuesday the Seven and Twentieth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
