ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be committed to a
Committee of the whole House, To-morrow Morning.
Wilful Perjury to make Felony, Bill.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be
put into a Committee again, to proceed on the Bill,
intituled, "An Act making wilful and corrupt Perjury,
in certain Cases, to be Felony," on Wednesday next;
and that the Judges then attend the House; and report,
as ordered, To-morrow.
Marten versus Herbert.
Whereas To-morrow is appointed for hearing of the
Cause wherein Henry Marten is Appellant, and Thomas
Herbert Respondent:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear
the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Saturday the
Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at
Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Duvall versus Price.
Upon reading the Petition of John Duvall; praying,
"That the Day appointed for arguing the Errors assigned upon his Writ of Error brought into this
House, wherein Edward Price is Defendant, may be
put off from Wednesday next; for that the Counsel
retained in his Cause, and instructed to argue for
him, cannot possibly appear that Day:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear
the Errors argued thereupon, on Monday the Four and
Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the
Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to
give timely Notice to the Defendant.
Reeve versus Long:
Upon hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, to argue
the Errors assigned upon the Writ of Error brought into
this House the Seven and Twentieth Day of November
last, in relation to a Judgement given in the Court of
Common Pleas, and assirmed in the Court of King's
Bench, in an Action of Trespass and Ejectment, wherein
Charles Reeve was Plaintiff, and Anne Long Widow Defendant:
Judgement reversed.
After due Consideration had of what was offered
by Counsel on either Side thereupon, it is ORDERED
and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in
Parliament assembled, That the said Judgement given
in the Court of Common Pleas, and the Affirmation
thereof in the Court of King's Bench, shall be, and
they are hereby, reversed.
The Tenor of which Judgement, to be affixed to the
