Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to vest in Trustees certain Lands of Sir Gervase Clifton Baronet, in the County of Nottingham, for Payment of Debts, and raising Portions for Younger Children."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill shall be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Trials for Treason, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for regulating of Trials, in Cases of High Treason and Misprision of Treason."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, to proceed."

ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed upon the said Bill, To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock.

Rex versus Tucker, in Error.

After hearing Counsel, to argue the Errors assigned upon a Writ of Error brought into this House the Nineteenth Day of December, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Four, to reverse a Judgement of the Court of King's Bench, relating to the Attainder of Reginald Tucker:

Judgement affirmed.

After due Consideration had of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Judgement given in the said Court of King's Bench, for reversing the Attainder of the said Reginald Tucker, shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.

The Tenor of which Judgement, to be affixed to the Record, followeth; (videlicet,)

Parliament de Judic. suo de et super Præmiss. reddend. nondum advisatur, Dies inde dat. est Partibus præd. coram eadem Cur. usque Diem Lunæ, Vicesimum Primum Diem Januarii proxime sequen. apud Westm. in Comitat. Middl'x, de Judicio suo inde audiend.; eo quod Cur. hic inde nondum &c., ad quem Diem, coram eadem Cur. Parliamenti, ven. Partes præd. per Attornat. suos super qu. vis. et per eandem Cur. Parliament. nunc hic plenius intellect. omnibus et fingulis Præmiss. maturaque Deliberatione superinde habita, pro eo quod videtur Cur. Parliament. præd. nunc hic, quod nec in Record. & Process. præd. nec in Redditione Judicii præd. in ullo est Errat. ac quod Record. ill. in nullo vitiosum aut defectivum in Lege existit; considerat. est per Cur. Parliamenti præd. quod Judicium præd. in omnibus affirmetur, et in omni suo Robore stet et Effectu; dictis Causis et Materiis superius pro Error. assignat. in aliquo non obstan."
