Message to His Majesty, about Bills ready for the Royal Assent.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords with White Staves do attend His Majesty, humbly to acquaint Him from this House, "That there are several Bills now ready for His Majesty's Royal Assent; One of which will be wholly ineffectual, if not passed before Tuesday next."

Report of the Conference on the Trials for Treason, Bill:

The Duke of Bolton (pursuant to the Order of the Day) gave the House an Account of the Free Conference, with the House of Commons, the Fifteenth Instant, upon the Bill for regulating Trials, in Cases of High Treason and Misprision of Treason.

Lords adhere to the Clause about Trial of Peers:

ORDERED, That this House doth adhere to the Clause concerning the Trial of Peers; having before desisted from their Amendment for enlarging the Time for Trials for Treason, with this Exception; (videlicet,) 2d Skin, 34th Line, after ["omitted"], add, ["Except the Treason or Offence done, consist in endeavouring or attempting to do any Hurt, Violence, or Mischief to the Person of the King."]

Message to H. C. for a Conference about it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Holford and Mr. Pitts:

To desire a present Free Conference, in the Painted Chamber, upon the Subject-matter of the last Free Conference.

Answer.

The Messengers sent to the House of Commons return Answer:

That the Commons agree to a Free Conference, as desired.

Report of the Conference.

The Commons being come to the Free Conference, the last Managers Names were read.

Which being ended, the House was resumed.

And the Duke of Bolton reported, "That the Lords had attended at the Free Conference, and delivered them the Bill."
