Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting a Moiety of the Manor of Shepton Mallet, in the County of Somersett, and a divided Moiety of the Manor of Wells, in the said County, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of a Mortgage charged thereon; and for making a Provision for the Maintenance of Mary the Wife of William Sandes Esquire, and her Children."

Warner's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enabling Trustees to sell Part of the Estate of Edmund Warner deceased, for Payment of his Debts, and for preserving the rest for the Benefit of his Heir."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir Robert Legard:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

East India Company, and other Merchants, concerning Powers requisite to be given to an East India Company.

After hearing, this Day, the East India Company, and also other Merchants, in relation to the Trade of The East Indies, pursuant to the Order of the Thirteenth Instant:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That as well the said Merchants, as the East India Company, shall be further heard on Wednesday the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, upon the Subject-matters of the said Order of the Thirteenth Instant; at which Time they are at Liberty to offer to this House, in Writing, or by Word of Mouth, whatsoever they shall think sit, in respect to the East India Trade, or to such Powers as may be requisite to be given to an East India Company; and they are to come fully prepared at that Time to lay before this House all that they shall think proper to say in relation to the said Order of the Thirteenth Instant.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Fane and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Lady Katherine Fane to sell the Reversion of certain Fee-farm Rents, given to her by her Grandfather John Bence Esquire;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Brewer and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling Thomas Stoner Esquire (Son and Heir of John Stones Esquire, deceased) to make a Jointure and Settlement of his Estate in Marriage, notwithstanding his Minority;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, this House shall be put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Times to come in and purchase certain Annuities therein mentioned, and for continuing the Duties on Low Wines, or Spirits of the First Extraction, for carrying on the War against France."
