Randolph to attend.

Whereas To-morrow is appointed for this House to be put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for preventing Frauds and regulating Abuses in the Plantation Trade:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Edward Randolph do attend this House To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock.

Mortmain, License of Alienation, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable the King, His Heirs and Successors, to grant License of Alienation in Mortmain."

Militia Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for raising the Militia of this Kingdom for the Year One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-six, although the Month's Pay formerly advanced be not re-paid."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Mutiny Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing several former Acts for punishing Officers and Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert His Majesty's Service, and for punishing false Musters, and for Payment of Quarters for One Year longer."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Ferrers reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with One Amendment, which is, leaving out the last Clause concerning poor Prisoners."

To which the House agreed.

Message from H. C. to return the Dutch. of Buccleugh's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Dolben and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for empowering the most Noble Anne Dutchess of Buccleuch, and the Right Honourable James Earl of Dalkeith her Son, of the Kingdom of Scotland, to grant Leases, for improving a Piece of Ground, in the Parish of St. Martin's in the Feilds, in the County of Middl'x;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

Seamen, for Increase and Encouragement of, Bill.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better Encouragement of Seamen," on Wednesday the Five and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, the First Business; and that the Secretaries of the Admiralty, some of the Commissioners of the Navy Board, the Master or some of the Wardens of Trinity House, do then also attend.

Hawkers and Pedlars Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for suppressing Hawkers and Pedlars."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be read a Second Time?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.
