This Day the Lord Lempster signed the Association.

Duty on Houses, to make good Deficiencies in clipped Money, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to His Majesty several Rates or Duties upon Houses, for making good the Deficiency of the clipped Money."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Godolphin reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Littleton and others:

Who bought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to His Majesty an additional Duty upon all French Goods and Merchandize;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

French Goods, additional Duty on, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting to His Majesty an additional Duty upon all French Goods and Merchandize;"

Message from H. C. to return the Bill for preventing Frauds in the Plantation Trade.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Chadwick and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for preventing Frauds and regulating Abuses in the Plantation Trade;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Lords Amendments made therein, with an Amendment to One of the Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which Amendment, being read Twice, was agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Message from thence, with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for restraining the Wearing of all Wrought Silks, Bengalls, and Dyed, Printed, or Stained Callicoes, imported into the Kingdom of England, of the Product and Manufacture of Persia and The East Indies;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Plate, to encourage the bringing in, and for further regulating the ill State of the Coin, Bill:

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to encourage the bringing Plate into the Mint, to be coined; and for the further remedying the ill State of the Coin of the Kingdom."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Godolphin reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Then, Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to encourage the bringing Plate into the Mint, to be coined; and for the further remedying the ill State of the Coin of the Kingdom."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Protest against it.

"Leave having been asked, and given, for any Lords to dissent, if the Question was carried in the Affirmative; we, whose Names are underwritten, do dissent:
