PRAYERS.
Personal Estates in Wales, Bill.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put
into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act
for taking away the Custom of Wales, which hinders
Persons from disposing their Personal Estates," on
Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock.
Linen Drapers versus Bill to prohibit the Wearing of India Silks and Callicoes.
Whereas To-morrow is appointed for hearing the
Linen Drapers and others, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for restraining the Wearing of all
Wrought Silks, Bengalls, and Dyed, Printed, or Stained Callicoes, imported into the Kingdom of England,
of the Product and Manufacture of Persia and The
East Indies:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That they shall be heard, as
desired, for and against the said Bill, on Saturday next,
at Eleven of the Clock.
French Goods, additional Duties on, Bill.
Hodie 2a
vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for
granting to His Majesty an additional Duty upon all
French Goods and Merchandize."
ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a
Committee of the whole House, presently.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and
put into a Committee upon the said Bill.
After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it
fit to pass, without any Amendment."
Swavne versus Middleton:
After hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, to argue
the Errors assigned upon a Writ of Error, brought into
this House the Tenth of March last, wherein Bennet
Swayne is Plaintiff, and Benjamine Middleton Defendant, from a Judgement given in the Court of King's
Bench for the said Benjamine Middleton, against the
said Bennet Swayne:
Judgement affumed.
After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by the
Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled,
That the said Judgement given in the King's Bench for
the said Benjamine Middleton, against the said Bennet
Swayne, shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.
The Tenor of which Judgement, to be affixed to
the Record to be remitted, followeth; (videlicet,)
"Et postea, scilicet, Secundo Die Martii, Anno
Regni dict. Domini Regis nunc Octavo, vis. et per
Cur. Parliament. nunc hic plenius intellect. omnibus
