Quakers Bill:
Hodie 2a
vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act
that the solemn Affirmation and Declaration of the
People called Quakers shall be accepted instead of
an Oath."
After Debate;
ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a
Committee of the whole House, presently.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and
put into a Committee thereupon.
After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the
Committee had gone through the said Bill, with some
Amendments."
Which, being read Twice, were agreed to.
Then, Hodie 3a
vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act
that the solemn Affirmation and Declaration of the
People called Quakers shall be accepted instead of
an Oath."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with
the Amendments, shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence
to the Amendments.

Government;" and to acquaint this House, that they
