A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Mr. Cooper and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act that the solemn Affirmation and Declaration of the People
called Quakers shall be accepted instead of an Oath;"
and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the
Lords Amendments made therein.

India Silks and Callicoes, to prohibit the Wearing of, Bill.
The Lord Keeper reported what had been offered
several Days, by Counsel and Witnesses, for and against
the Bill, intituled, "An Act for restraining the Wearing
of all Wrought Silks, Bengalls, and Dyed, Printed,
or Stained Callicoes, imported into the Kingdom of
England, of the Product and Manufacture of Persia
and The East Indies."
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and
put into a Committee upon the said Bill.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Manchester reported, "That the
Committee had sat on the Bill, and made some Progress therein."
