Pory, a Protection, during his Attendance on the House concerning this Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Katherine Pory, Wife of John Pory Esquire; praying (among other Things), "That the said John Pory may, by the Protection of this House, be secured from all Manner of Arrests and Troubles which may be caused by Sir William Juxon Knight and Baronet, to the End that he the said John Pory may come personally to answer for himself before this House to such Matters as relate to him, in a Bill now depending in this House; intituled, An Act for enabling Sir William Juxon Knight and Baronet, Executor of the last Will and Testament of William Juxon, late Archbishop of Cant. to recover Part of his Estate:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Pory shall have the Protection of this House, from all Manner of Arrests, Suits, or Troubles whatsoever, which may be caused by the said Sir William Juxon, during so long Time from the Date hereof as the said Bill shall be depending in this House, or before any Committee of this House, to the End the said John Pory may personally be heard in his Defence unto the same; and hereunto strict Observance is to be given, by the said Sir William Juxon and all other Persons employed by him, as they will answer the contrary to this House.

Pory to be heard concerning the Bill.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Katherine Pory, Wife of John Pory Esquire; praying (among other Things), "That all Proceedings in this House, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling Sir William Juxon Knight and Baronet, Executor of the last Will and Testament of William Juxon, late Archbishop of Canterbury, to recover Part of his Estate," may be stayed till the said John Pory her Husband (now beyond the Seas) may be heard to such Part of the said Bill as concerns him:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition be referred to the Committee to whose Consideration the said Bill stands committed; whose Lordships are to meet, and consider of the said Bill and Petition, on Monday the Ninth Day of December next, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Prince's Lodgings; at which Time the said John Pory is to appear, and be heard in his Defence unto the Matters charged upon him therein whereof he is hereby to take Notice, to the End he may appear accordingly.

Method of bringing in Private Bills and Petitions.

ORDERED, That it be referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, to consider of the Manner of bringing Private Petitions and Private Bills into this House; and to report their Opinions thereupon unto the House.

Peers Privilege, concerning Informations to be given by them to the H. C.

The Earl of Anglesey again acquainting this House, That he hath been sent to, and desired, according to an Order of the House of Commons, that he would give in his Knowledge concerning the Payment of Seamen by Tickets, and some Matters relating to the late War:"

The House conceiving the Privileges of the Peers are concerned herein, have ordered that the Committee for Privileges shall meet on Monday next, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, and consider of Precedents in the like Case; and report their Opinions thereof to the House.
