Message from H. C. with a Bill;--to return the Bp. of Durham's; and to remind the Lords of the Writs of Certiorari Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons,
by Sir Thomas Gower and others; which consisted of
these Particulars:
1. To offer to their Lordships Consideration a Bill,
intituled, "An Act for exchanging certain Manors and
Lands of William Palmes Esquire for other Lands settled upon him and his Issue by Mary his Wife;" to
which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.
2. Whereas their Lordships sent down a Bill to enable
John Lord Bishop of Durham and his Successors to make
Leases for Three Lives, of certain Lead Mines, with
some Alterations and Amendments, the House of Commons do agree to the said Alterations and Amendments.
3. To put their Lordships in Mind of a Bill formerly
brought up, to prevent Abuses in granting Writs of
Certiorari.
Bill for banishing the E. of Clarendon.
It was moved, "That the Bill for banishing and disenabling the Earl of Clarendon may be read the Second Time."
And the Question being put, "Whether the said
Bill shall be now read the Second Time?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill for taxing Adventurers in the Fens.
Next, the House proceeded to hear the Counsel upon
the Matter contained in the Bill for taxing and assessing
the Great Level of the Fens; and also the several Petitions relating to the same.
And it is ORDERED, That, upon Monday Morning
next, this House will consider of what hath been said by
the Counsel at the Bar touching the said Bill.
