Morley and Grenvile versus Elwes.
The House proceeded in further hearing Counsel and
Witnesses, in the Cause depending between Cutbert
Morley and Bernard Greenvile Esquires Plaintiffs, by
Petition, and Jeremy and Henry Elwaies Defendants.
And it is ORDERED, That on Monday Morning next
this House will take into Consideration what Resolution
to give therein.
E. of Lindsey versus Wood, Jackson, & al. for a Riot on his Estate in Lincolnshire.
Upon Oath, made at the Bar of this House, by John
Scager, "That Robert Woode, Samuell Jackson, and
Robert Dimis, on the Eighth Day of January last,
at Saltfleet Haven, in the County of Lyncolne, did
throw down the Posts, Bars, and Gates, and cut the
Banks thorough in divers Places, to let in the Sea
upon the Lands of and belonging to the Earl of
Lyndsey, Lord Great Chamberlain of England, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament; and that the
said Robert Wood, being interrupted in his Lordship's
Name by his Tenant, used contemptuous Words
against the said Earl:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms
attending this House, or his Deputy, shall forthwith
attach the Bodies of the said Robert Wood, Samuell Jackson, and Robert Dimis, and bring them in safe Custody to
the Bar of this House, to answer their said Offences;
and for so doing, this shall be a sufficient Warrant.
