The Lord Howard of Charlton reported, "That the
Committee have considered the Bill for the better
securing of a Portion of Five Thousand Pounds to
the Lady Francis Savill; and finding it is a Bill
with the Consent of all Parties concerned, their Lordships think it fit to pass, with a few small Amendments."
Which, being read Twice, were Agreed to; and this
House ordered the said Bill should be engrossed, with

Herbert versus Sir J. Lenthall.
The Lord Keeper acquainted the House with Sir John
Lenthall's Answer to the Petition of Zouch Herbert;
upon the Reading whereof, the House directed the said
Zouch Herbert might have a Copy of the same, if he
desired it.
Vernon versus Sir J. Lenthall.
Upon reading the humble Petition of Grace Vernon,
complaining against Sir John Lenthall Knight, Marshal of
the King's Bench Prison, for the Escape of George Farrington, a Prisoner under Execution, in the Custody of
the said Sir John Lenthall; as also of the Answer of
the said Sir John Lenthall thereunto:
It is ORDERED, That the Examination of the Matter
of Fact complained of in the said Petition is hereby
referred to the Lords Committees appointed to receive
and consider of Petitions; whose Lordships are to make
Report thereof unto the House.
