Upon reading of the humble Petition of Thomas
Sherley Esquire this Day in the House, complaining
against Sir John Fagg, touching a Dismission out of the
Court of Chancery, concerning the Possession of the
Manor of Wiston, and divers other Manors and Lands
in the County of Sussex, of the Yearly Value of more
than Three Thousand Pounds, whereby (as he alledgeth) he is left without Remedy in Law or Equity:
It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual
and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Matter of the said Petition be, and is hereby, referred to
the Lords Committees appointed to receive and consider of Petitions; whose Lordships, having considered
thereof, and heard such Persons as they shall think fit
concerning the same, are afterwards to make Report
to the House.
