Message from H. C. to remind the Lords of the following Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Howard and others:

To put their Lordships in Remembrance of certain Public Bills, formerly brought up from the House of Commons; (videlicet,)

1. A Bill for prohibiting the (fn. 1) Importation of Foreign Brandy.

2. The Bill for taking the Accompts of Monies given for Relief of Persons ruined by the Fire in London.

3. The Bill to prevent the Stealing, and so Transporting, of Children.

The Answer of the Earl of Petriburgh to the Petition of the Countess Dowager of Petriburgh, was read.

Pitt, Major, & al. versus Pelham, concerning Lands in Blandford:

Upon reading the humble Petition of Robert Pitt, of Blandford Forum, in the County of Dorsett, Gentleman; William Major, of the City of London, Mercer; Jonadab Savage, of Blockworth, in the said County of Dorsett, Gentleman; Roger Higham, of Shapwick, in the said County of Dorsett, Gentleman; and Richard Harris, of the City of Winchester, Esquire; complaining of a Dismission of their Bill in Chancery, concerning Lands in Blandford, in the County of Dorsett, heretofore the Lands of William Sherley, of Shapwick, in the said County, Clerk, deceased:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition be referred to the Lords Committees appointed to receive and consider of Petitions; whose Lordships, having considered thereof, and heard such Persons as they shall think fit thereupon, are afterward to make Report unto this House: And it is further ORDERED, That all Proceedings in any of the Courts in Westminster Hall, relating to the said Lands mentioned in the said Petition, be staid during the depending of the said Petition before the said Lords Committees or this House; and hereof all Counsellors, Attornies, and other Persons concerned, are to take Notice, and yield Obedience hereunto accordingly.

Morris versus Dove.

Upon hearing Counsel several Days at the Bar, upon the Petition of John Morris and Rob't Clayton, being an Appeal from some Proceedings in the Court of Chancery; and also the Answer of Thomas Dove, Executor to John Dove, deceased, put in thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Debate of this Cause be adjourned to Tuesday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock.

ORDERED, That the Lord Ashley is added to the Committee for the Bill for Naturalization.

Adjourn.
