Message from H. C. with the Wine Licenses Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by the Earl of Ancram and others:

To return the Bill for revesting in His Majesty the Power of granting Wine Licenses, and for a Recompense to his Royal Highness in Lieu thereof; which was sent down with some Amendments and Additions, to which the Commons do agree.

Haslington Bill.

ORDERED, That the Bill concerning the Parish Church of Haslington shall be read the Third Time To-morrow Morning.

Yelverton's Bill.

The Lord Chamberlain is added to the Committee for the Bill concerning Nevill Yelverton.

ORDERED, That on Wednesday next the Report be made from the Committee for Privileges, concerning Sequestrations out of the Court of Chancery,

Black Rod and Yeoman Usher's Fee upon Proxies.

Upon reading the humble Petition of Sir Edward Carterett, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House; shewing, "That he finds, among other Things, that there is a Fee of Thirty Shillings due to him from every Member of this House who sends in his Proxy, which hath not of late been paid; and therefore prays their Lordships Direction therein:"

The House being satisfied that there is a Fee settled (among others) in the Roll of Fees settled to be paid to the Officers attending this House, as also a Fee of Ten Shillings to the Yeoman Usher for every Proxy put in as aforesaid; it is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Fees of Thirty Shillings to the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, and Ten Shillings to the Yeoman Usher, shall be henceforth paid, together with the Fees usually paid to the Clerks, by such Lords as shall send in their Proxies to be entered and used upon Votes in this House.

Sherley versus Hawles.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Sherley, Physician in Ordinary to His Majesty, and of Elizabeth his Wife, Executrix to the Lady Hyppesly, complaining of a Decree of the Court of Chancery, concerning Monies due from Thomas Hawles, of Salisbury, to the Executrix of the said Lady Hyppesley:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Hawles may have a Copy of the said Petition, and is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto in Writing, at the Bar of this House, on Thursday the Three and Twentieth Day of February Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Burrell versus Ellis.

Upon the Petition of Rebecca Burrell, Relict of Redman Burrell Esquire, deceased, praying a Day to be heard, upon her Petition and Appeal, and the Answer of Serjeant Ellis thereunto, now depending in this House:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Counsel shall be heard, at the Bar of this House, upon the said Petition and Answer on Thursday the 23th Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Count. Dowager of Peterb. versus E. of Peterb.

The House this Day heard the Counsel in the Cause between the Countess Dowager of Peterborough and the Earl of Peterborough, concerning the present Possession of the Manors and Lands of Chellington, Stagisden, and Clifton Reynes.

And it is ORDERED, That the Speaker of this House shall state the Case out of the Evidence delivered by Counsel, and propound the same to all the Judges Tomorrow Morning, that so the Judges may give their Opinion in Law concerning the Entry of the Earl of Peterborough upon those Lands, and the Attournment of the Tenants unto him.
