Sir W. Clark's Bill.

The Earl of Aylisbury reported, "That the Committee have considered the Bill concerning Sir William Clarke, and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments."

A Petition of John Marshall, a Creditor of Sir William Clarke, was read, desiring to be heard before the said Bill pass; and thereupon it is ORDERED, That the said Bill be re-committed to the former Committee, who are to meet To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock in the Prince's Lodgings; and, having heard the Petitioner, are to make Report to this House.

Additional Imposition on Foreign Commodities Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An additional Imposition on several Foreign Commodities, and for the Encouragement of several Commodities and Manufactures of this Kingdom."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments and Provisos, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That these Amendments in this Bill be communicated to the House of Commons at a Conference To-morrow Morning, and Reasons given for the said Amendments; and, at the same Conference, to deliver them the humble Address to His Majesty, and desire their Conjunction therein.

Message to H. C. for a Conference about it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir John Coell and Sir William Beversham:

To desire a Conference To-morrow Morning, at Eleven of the Clock, in the Painted Chamber, concerning the Bill for an additional Imposition upon Foreign Commodities, and also concerning an humble Address to His Majesty.

These Lords following are appointed to manage this Conference; and they, or any Three of them, are to meet To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock, in the Prince's Lodgings, to consider and draw up Reasons fit to be offered at the Conference, for making these Amendments, and to report the same to this House:

ORDERED, That the Bill concerning indigent Officers shall be reported To-morrow Morning.

The Answer of Sir William Turner to be read Tomorrow Morning.

Stapilton versus Heron.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Cause depending in this House, upon the Petition of John Stapilton, being an Appeal from a Dismission of his Bill in the Exchequer concerning a Fee-farm Rent reserved to His Majesty upon the Priory of Warter in Yorkeshire, and the Answer of John Heron thereunto, shall be heard, by Counsel on both Parts, at the Bar of this House, on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof timely Notice is to be given by the Petitioner to the Defendant in the said Cause, or his Attorney therein.

Work-houses Bill.

The House being moved, "That the President and Governors of the Corporations for the Poor in Middlesex within the Weekly Bills of Mortality and Liberty of Westm. may be heard, before the said Bill pass this House:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Counsel shall be heard, at the Bar, on the Behalf of the Prosecutors of the said Bill, and also on the Behalf of the said President and Governors of the Corporations aforesaid, on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Bills of Middlesex, Latitas, &c.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Report made from the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Manner of Proceedings in the Courts in Westminster Hall upon Bills of Middlesex and Ac etiams, &c. shall be taken into Consideration on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof Notice is to be given to all the Judges now in Town, as also to Mr. John Rouse who makes out the Bills of Midd. Sir Robert Henly Master of the King's Bench Office, Mr. William Livesey Secondary there, Mr. John Warter who signs the Latitats, and the respective Prothonotaries of the Court of Common Pleas, to the End they may attend this House at the Time aforesaid.
