The following list contains blazons of all arms, earlier than 1850, mentioned in the five volumes of the Dorset Inventory. The blazons are those which appeared at the time of survey and are not always the version generally accepted as correct. Roman numerals denote volumes; 'a' and 'b' refer to the first and second columns of the page cited; a number enclosed in square brackets refers to the plate on which a coat is illustrated.
