THIS Day, before the Sitting of the House, the Lord whose Name is underwritten did, in the Presence of the Lord Keeper and a competent Number of His Majesty's Privy Council, kneeling at the Woolsack whereupon the Lord Keeper sits, take the Oath of Allegiance provided and mentioned in the Parliament 3° Regis Jacobi.

The Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod held the Bible, and the Clerk of the Crown read the Oath.

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following; whole Lordships, upon the Debate of the House, have hereby Power to consider of and prepare a Clause to be added to the said Bill, in what Manner, and upon what Terms, Slaves, either Blacks or any other Forelgners, not being Christians, may be used in England; and having heard such Persons, and made such Alterations in the said Bill as their Lordships shall think fit, are afterwards to make Report thereof unto the House:

Silly versus Silly, in Error.

Whereas there is a Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein William Silly is Plaintiff, against Anne Silly Widow Defendant, which said William Silly hath not prosecuted his said Writ, by assigning Errors thereon within Eight Days (according to the Rules of this High Court):

The House being moved, on the Behalf of the said Anne Silly, "That a short Day may be appointed for the said William Silly to assign his Errors upon the said Writ, or that the Transcript of the Record of the Court of King's Bench therewith brought into this Court, may be remitted;" it is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said William Silly be, and is hereby, required peremptorily to assign Errors upon the said Writ, on or before Thursday next, being the 19th Day of February Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said Anne Silly is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said William Silly for that Purpose.

Love & al. versus Oxenden & al.

Upon hearing Counsel on both Parts, at the Bar of this House, upon the Petition of William Love, John Buckworth, Thomas Pearle, William Breton, and others, Plaintiffs, against Sir Henry Oxinden, Sir James Oxinden, Sir George Blundell, and others, Defendants (the said Petition being an Appeal from a Dismission of their Bill out of the Court of Chancery, and a Decree made in the said Court on the Third Day of November, 1663; against the Petitioners, concerning an Account of the Voyage of the Ship King Ferdinando, to and from The East Indies); as also upon hearing Mr. John Buckworth, Mr. Michaell Godfrey, and Mr. Thomas Tyte, the Three Survivors of the Five Referees mentioned in the said Petition, to the same Matters they were heretofore heard in the Court of Chancery in the said Cause:

After due Consideration had of what hath been offered by Counsel on either Part, and by the said Referees, it is this Day Resolved and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of William Love, John Buckworth, Thomas Pearle, William Breton, and others, be, and is hereby, dismissed this House.

Adjourn.
