Yorkshire Clothiers.

THAT the Petition of the Clothiers of the County of Yorke be referred unto the Committee for the Bill of Wools and Woolfels: And the Knights and Bur- gesses of the County of Yorke, and Lincolne, are added to this Committee : And are to meet this Afternoon at Two of Clock, in the Star-chamber.

The Protestation.

Mr. Roger Kirby, Mr. Richard Eresey, Sir Sidney Mountague, this Day made the Protestation.

Ordered, That the Committee concerning the Protes- tation do meet To-morrow Morning at Seven of Clock.

Walker's Cause.

The Declaration of the Commons in the Cause of Mr. George Walker, was this Day read ; and recommitted to the same Committee, to be drawn into the Form of an Impeachment.

Privilege of a Member in a Suit.

Ordered, That the Lord Baltinglasse shall have Liberty to proceed in a Suit depending between him and Sir Peter Temple, a Member of this House, unless the said Sir Peter Temple, on Friday Morning next, shall shew good Cause to this House for the contrary.

Moved, That the said Sir Peter Temple have Notice first of this Order.

Stopping Allowances to Windebancke, &c.

That Mr. Treasurer move his Majesty, that there may be a Stop made of any Allowances or Payments unto Sir Francis Windebancke, Mr. Mountague, Mr. Jermin, and Sir John Suckling, during the Time that they shall stand in the Condition that now they are in : And that it be re- ferred to some Committee to inquire, who has been the Procurers of any Payments to be allowed unto those Per- sons : And they to present Heads for a Conference, to be desired with the Lords, upon this Business:

Sir Walter Earle, Mr. Bodevile, Mr. Cage, Mr. Moore, Mr. Morley, Lord Grey, Sir Antho. Irby, Sir Rich. Buller, Sir Symonds D'Ewes, Sir Robert Pye, Mr. Pel- ham, Mr. Hollis, Sir Sam. Rolle, Mr. Carew, Sir John Colpeper: And are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Chequer-chamber: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, &c.

That Mr. Cofferer and Sir Richard Wynne shall for- bear to make any Payments to Sir Francis Windebancke, Mr. Jermin, and Mr. Mountague, until his Majesty shall be moved therein.

Disbanding the Army.

Mr. Hollis reports the Conference.

And, upon that Report, Three Letters were read, from the Lord General; all directed to the Earl of Essex; the First dated 1° Julii, the Second, 2° Julii, the Third, 3° Julii. A Copy of my Lord General's Letter, dated 1° Julii, to General Lesley; and a Copy of General Leslie's Answer to that Letter, dated 2° Julii:

And a Copy of the Orders agreed upon, for the Dis- banding of the Regiment in Hull, dated 2° Julii 1641.

That Mr. Hollis and Mr. Strode do repair to the Earl of Essex; and to desire his Lordship, from this House, to return Thanks to the Earl of Holland Lord General of his Majesty's Army, for his Care taken in the orderly Disbanding of the Army: And to acquaint his Lordship, that this House will be ready to assist him, in all lawful and fitting Ways, that may conduce to the speedy and peaceable Disbanding of the Army, as the Necessity of the Occasion shall require, according as is desired, con- cerning the Raising of Squadrons of Horses, in the several Counties, for the better and more quiet Conducting of the Soldiers through the several Counties.

This latter Part of this Order is resolved to be taken into Consideration, at a Conference, by a Committee of both Houses.

Officers of Star-chamber.

A Message from his Majesty, delivered into the House by Mr. Solicitor, concerning the Officers of the Star- chamber.

It was moved, a Committee might be appointed, to consider what Officers there were belonging to that Court; of what Value their Places might be; and what Way of Reparation is fit to be made to the Officers: And to examine what Offices within the Statute of E. VI. have been bought and sold: But the House, being at this Time engaged in a great Business, laid this Business aside, till another Time.

Prince Elector Palatine.

According to an Order, made on Monday in the After- noon, the House was resolved into a Committee; and proceeded into the Consideration of the Manifesto, con- cerning the Prince Elector Palatine.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Whitlocke called to the Chair.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Whitlocke reports from the Committee this Reso- lution: Which was, in the House, put to the Question:

Resolved, upon the Question, That this House does ap- prove of his Majesty's pious Intention, in the Behalf of his Royal Sister the Queen of Bohemia, and his Nephew the Prince Elector Palatine, and the rest of the Princes of that Family; and of the publishing this Manifesto, to that Purpose; and that this House will be ready to give his Majesty such Advice and Assistance therein, by Par- liament, as shall stand with the Honour of his Majesty, and the Interest and Affections of this Kingdom, if the present Treaty shall not succeed.

Ordered, That Mr. Pym shall go up with this Message to the Lords; to desire a Conference, by a Committee of both Houses, concerning his Majesty's Manifesto touching the Palatine, so soon as will stand with their Conveniency.

Mr. Hollis is to manage this Conference; and to deliver unto the Lords the Resolution of this House, upon that Manifesto; and to desire their Lordships to join with this House, in presenting it to his Majesty.

Ordered, That Mr. Hollis is likewise ordered, to move the Lords to join with this House, in petitioning his Ma- jesty to recommend this Resolution to the Parliament in Scotland.
