Penwarden's Bill.

The Amendments made in the Bill concerning Penwarden, by the House of Commons, were read Twice, and Agreed to.

Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to Amendments in it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir John Hoskins and Dr. Edisbury:

To acquaint them, that this House agrees to the Amendments, which the Commons have made in the Bill concerning Penwarden.

Lords Leave to be absent.

The Earl of Bristoll hath Leave given him, for his Health, to go into the Country.

The Lord Bishop of Landaff hath Leave to be absent, about ordering Affairs in his Diocese.

Sir R. Atkins Chief Baron versus Commissioners of Great Seal, for appointing Keck, Receiver of the Writs of Dedimus Potestatem, &c.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Robert Atkins, Knight of the Bath, and Chief Baron of His Majesty's Court of Exchequer; complaining, "That Sir Anthony Kecke and Sir William Rawlingson, Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal of England, have appointed one Samuell Keck Gentleman, to be the Receiver of all the Writs of Dedimus Potestatem, and to receive the Fees due to the Judges, without the Consent of your Petitioner; which he conceives to be unjust, and a Breach of the Petitioner's Privilege."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal may have a Copy of the said Petition; and that the Consideration thereof be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, who are to hear all such Persons concerning the same as they shall think fit, and afterwards report to the House.

Upon reading the Petition of George Price, Edward Price, Gentlemen, Mrs. Anne Price, and Mrs. Rebecca Brandrith, against the Bill of Roger Price Esquire:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel for the Petitioners against the Bill, intituled, "An Act to empower Roger Price Esquire to make a Jointure to his Wife, out of the Manor of Westbury, in the County of Bucks," on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
