College of Physicians Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the better governing the College of Physicians in London."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass for a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir John Francklin:

To deliver the Bill for the better governing the College of Physicians in London, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Tanned Leather Bill.

The Earl of Rochester reported, "That the Committee have considered the Act for explaining Part of an Act made in the First Year of King James the First, concerning Tanned Leather; and have made some Amendments therein."

Which Amendments were read Twice, and Agreed to; and it is ORDERED, That the said Bill be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Sherley's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for enabling of Hannah Sherly Widow, and Mary Battilhey, alias Sherley, her Daughter, to settle and dispose of certain Lands and Tenements, in the County of Midd'sex and Essex."

Bill to reverse Judgements against Otes:

It was moved, "That the Debate which was Yesterday, about the Amendments of the Bill for reversing Two Judgements given in the King's Bench against Tytus Otes, might be resumed."

The House was in a great Debate, "Whether the Paragraph Yesterday was passed?"

After a long Debate;

This Question was put, "Whether the House be now at Liberty to proceed in the Debate of the Enacting Clause of the Bill?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Then the preceding Paragraph was read, as it came amended by the Committee.

After Debate;

The Question was proposed, "Whether to agree with the Committee in the Amendments?"

The Question being put, "Whether this Question shall be now put?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Then the Question being put, "Whether this Part of the Preamble shall be postponed?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill to reverse Judgements against Otes.

ORDERED, That the Debate had this Day, upon the Bill for reversing Two Judgements given in the Court of King's Bench against Titus Otes Clerk, shall be taken up To-morrow Morning.

Ly. Ashfield versus Ashfield.

Upon reading the Petition of Dorcas Lady Ashfeild, Widow and Executrix of Richard Ashfeild deceased, complaining of several Decrees and Orders in the Court of Chancery; and praying to be relieved therein; and that Richard and Anne Ashfield may appear, and answer thereunto:

It is ORDERED, That the said Richard and Anne Ashfeild may have a Copy of the said Petition; and be, and are hereby, required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Thursday the 18th of July Instant, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendants, to the End they may answer accordingly.

Appeals, no more to be received this Meeting.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That, after Wednesday next, this House doth declare, they will receive no Petitions of Appeal during this Meeting of Parliament, till after the Recess now at Hand: And it is further ORDERED, That this Order be put upon the Doors of this House.
