Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to vest certain Messuages, Lands, and Tenements, in Thorpe Langton, and elsewhere, in the County of Leicester, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of the Debts of Richard Roberts Esquire, and for raising Portions for his Daughters."

Stidolph's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Sale of the Manor and Lands in Wittering, in the County of North'ton, and the Advowson of the Church of Wittering aforesaid, late the Inheritance of William Stydolph Esquire deceased, late Father of Sigesmond Stydolph Esquire."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of these Two Bills be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Legh & al. versus Aspinall.

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Legh Esquire, John Case, Thomas Cooke, and others, Appellants, from a Decree and subsequent Order in the Court of Chancery, on the Behalf of Gilbert Aspinall Esquire; and praying a certain Day for the hearing and determining the Matter of the said Petition; and that the Petitioner may have reasonable Time personally to attend at the Hearing:

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Four and Twentieth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioners are to cause Notice to be given to the Defendant, to the End he attend with his Counsel accordingly.

Zouch versus Wild.

The House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of Mr. James Zouch, who hath Two Appeals depending in this House, one against the Lady Wild and others, and the other against English and his Wife, "That Sir Robert Henly may be admitted to enter into Recognizances for him:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Robert Henley be, and is hereby, admitted to enter into Recognizances as aforesaid for the said James Zouch.

Pawlin versus Whitaker.

Whereas To-morrow is appointed for hearing the Cause wherein Edward Whitaker is Plaintiff, and William Pawlin and others Defendants; the House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of William Pawlin, for longer Time for hearing thereof:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Saturday the Fourteenth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the said William Pawlin is to cause timely Notice to be given to the Appellant Edward Whitaker, to the End he attend accordingly.

Fleetwood versus Fleetwood.

The House being moved, on the Behalf of Richard Fletewood, Respondent to the Appeal of Richard Fletewood Esquire and Anne his Wife, "That he may have some longer Time given him for answering thereunto:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Richard Fletewood hath hereby Time given him, for answering thereunto, until Monday the Three and Twentieth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Sir M. Beckman's Nat. Bill.

Earl Huntingdon report d from the Committee the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Sir Martin Beckman and others," with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Clandestine Marriages, Bill.

Then the House went upon Consideration of the Report of the Bill, intituled, "An Act disabling Minors to marry without the Consent of their Fathers or Guardians, and against their untimely marrying after the Decease of their Fathers; and for preventing all clandestine Marriages for the future."

The Amendments were read, and agreed to; the Clause postponed.

And a Clause being offered to be in the Place of the Clause postponed, it was read.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Clause.

The House was resumed.

And the Lord Bishop of Sarum reported, "That the Committee had passed the Clause, as amended."

Then the House proceeded upon the Amendments after the postponed Clause.

Which, being read, were agreed to.

Then some Clauses were offered to the House.

Which were read, and referred.

Committee to consider of Clauses in it concerning forging Licenses, and Quakers Marriages.

Lords Committees appointed by the House to consider of a Clause offered to the House this Day, concerning the forging of Licenses upon Marriages, and the Clause concerning Quakers Marriages; whose Lordships, having considered thereof, and made such Alterations therein as they shall think fit, are afterwards to report to the House.

Their Lordships, or any Three of them; to meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
