ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Mathew Smith, Mr.
Hewet, and Mr. Jermy, do immediately attend this
House.
His Letters.
After hearing Mr. Mathew Smith, at the Bar; and
reading some Copies of his Letters writ to the Duke of
Shrewsbury in February last:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the further Consideration of this Matter shall be resumed on Friday next,
at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Smith and Hewet attached.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House do immediately take into Custody the
Bodies of Mr. Mathew Smith and John Hewet, and keep
them separate; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant
on that Behalf.
To the Serjeant at Arms attending this
House, his Deputy or Deputies, and
every of them.
Mr. Vernon was called in; and directed to write to the
Duke of Shrewsbury, and let him know, "The House
would be informed, whether he hath the original
Letters writ to him in February last by Mr. Smith;
and that, if he hath any, they be laid before this
House on Friday next."
