The Messengers sent to the House of Commons on
Saturday last, to desire that such of their Members as
are Commissioners of the Admiralty may have Leave to
attend the Lords Committees (when desired) appointed
to make an Inquiry concerning the Thoulon Squadron's
getting into Brest without any Opposition, in April
One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-six, return Answer,
"That the Commons will send an Answer, by Messengers of their own."

Eighteenth Instant; (videlicet,)
"That His Majesty will take Care to comply with

Coward et al versus Ld. Mohun:
After hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition
and Appeal of William Coward Serjeant at Law, and
Phillips Lady Mohun his Wife, and of Elizabeth Mohun
her Daughter by Charles Lord Mohun her First Husband; complaining of a Decree made by the Lord Keeper
of the Great Seal of England, the Fourth of May One
Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-four; and an Order of
the Eighth Day of June, One Thousand Six Hundred
Ninety-five; and other Proceedings in the Court of
Chancery, on Behalf of the Lord Mohun, and Sir Charles
Orby, James Mohun, Cordelia Mohun, Katherine Mohun,
Sir John Baber, and other the Parties to the said Decrees; as also upon the several Answer of Charles Lord
Mohun, Sir Charles Orby, James Mohun, Cordelia Mohun
Katherine Mohun, and Sir John Baber, put in thereunto:
Judgement affirmed.
After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the
said Petition and Appeal of the said William Coward,
Phillips Lady Mohun his Wife, and Elizabeth Mohun her
Daughter, shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House.
