PRAYERS.

Exchequer and Bank, for easier Dispatch of Business at, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to give further Time for the administering of Oaths relating to Tallies and Orders; and for the easier Dispatch of Public Business in the Exchequer, and in the Bank of England."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to give further Time for the administering of Oaths relating to Tallies and Orders; and for the easier Dispatch of Public Business in the Exchequer, and in the Bank of England."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir John Hoskyns:

To let them know, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, to robe.

The House was resumed.

King present.

His Majesty, being arrayed in His Regal Robes and Crown, attended with His Officers of State, ascended His Royal Throne (the Peers being also in their Robes); commanded the Deputy Usher of the Black Rod to signify to the Commons, "It is His Majesty's Pleasure, they attend Him presently."

Bills passed.

Who being come, with their Speaker; the Clerk of the Parliaments received the following Bill from the Hands of the Speaker, and brought it to the Table; where the Clerk of the Crown read the Titles of the Bills following; (videlicet,)

"1. An Act to prevent the further Currency of any Hammered Silver Coin of this Kingdom, and for recoining such as is now in Being; and for the making out new Exchequer Bills, where the former Bills are, or shall be, filled up by Indorsements."

To this Bill the Royal Assent was pronounced, by the Clerk of the Parliaments, in these Words; (videlicet,)

"Le Roy remercie ses bons Subjects, accepte leur Benevolence, et ainsi le veult."

Then the Bills following were passed; (videlicet,)

"2. An Act against corresponding with the late King James and his Adherents."

"3. An Act for continuing the Imprisonment of Counter and others, for the late horrid Conspiracy to assassinate the Person of His Sacred Majesty."

"4. An Act to give further Time for the administering of Oaths relating to Tallies and Orders; and for the easier Dispatch of Public Business in the Exchequer, and in the Bank of England."

To these Bills the Royal Assent was pronounced thus,

"Le Roy le veult."

"5. An Act for vesting in Sydenham Baker Gentleman an absolute Estate of Inheritance, in Fee Simple, in a certain Rent, Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments, in the County of Devon; and securing to John Baker Gentleman, and Henry Baker, an Infant, his Son, Monies in Lieu of their Claims thereunto."

"Soit fait come il est desiré."

Then His Majesty was pleased to withdraw; and the Commons went to their House.

E. of Bath versus E. of Montagu.

Upon reading this Day the Replication of the Earl of Montagu, put in to the Answer of the Earl of Bath:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Bath may have a Copy thereof; and do put in his Rejoinder thereunto on Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Adjourn.
