Judges to attend, and Lords summoned.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Judges do attend this House on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and all the Lords summoned to attend.

Coin, to prevent counterfeiting, &c. Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better preventing the counterfeiting, clipping, and other diminishing, the Coin of this Kingdom."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee on the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for them to proceed therein."

ORDERED, That the House be put into a Committee again, on the said Bill, upon Friday next.

Deye versus Thwaites.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein John Dye and others are Appellants, and James Thwaytes and others Respondents:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Three and Twentieth Day of this Instant May, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Message from H. C. for a Conference on the Lords Amendments to the Colchester Workhouses, &c. Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Francis Marsham and others:

To desire a Conference, upon the Amendments made by this House to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for erecting Hospitals and Workhouses within the Town of Colchester, in the County of Essex, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor thereof."

To which the House agreed.

Answer.

The Commons, being called in, were told, "The Lords agree to a Conference, as desired; and appoint the same to be To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock, in the Painted Chamber."

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Gerey and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting a Moiety of certain Messuages and Lands in Hackney, in the County of Middl'x, in Trustees, for the Benefit of Susanna Cary, Widow and Relict of Nicholas Cary Esquire, deceased, and others;" to which they have agreed, with One Amendment, whereunto they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

Which Amendment, being read Twice, was agreed to.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Arnold versus Attorney General & al.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Thomas Arnold is Appellant, and His Majesty's Attorney General and others are Respondents, on Thursday the Nineteenth Day of this Instant May, at Eleven of the Clock.

Officers of Excise, Bill to allow Time to qualify.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for giving Time to several Commissioners therein named, and their Officers, to qualify themselves for their Employments in the Duties on Leather."

Upon reading the Petition of several Masters of Ships, Vessels, and Mariners, trading in the River of Ouse; praying to be heard, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making navigable the "Rivers Ayr and Calder, in the County of York:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by Counsel, as desired, on Wednesday the Eighteenth Day of this Instant May, at Eleven of the Clock.

Governor and Assistants of Ulster Plantation versus Bp. of Londonderry.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing Counsel, upon the Petition of the Governor and Assistants of the new Plantation in Ulster, in Ireland, to which the Bishop of London Derry is Respondent, as to that Part of their said Petition which relates to Jurisdiction only:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will peremptorily hear Counsel thereupon, on Friday the Twentieth Day of this Instant May, at Eleven of the Clock.

Sir C. Bradshaw versus D. of Newcastle.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Cornwall Bradshaw; praying an Order for Witnesses, Deeds, and Writings, to be produced at the Hearing of his Cause before this House:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That such Persons as were produced and heard viva voce in the Court of Exchequer, shall be also produced and heard at the Hearing the Cause in this House, on Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and that such Deeds and Writings as were produced in the Exchequer shall be also produced at the Hearing in this House.

Message from H. C. to impeach Goudet, Barreau, Longueville, & al.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Rowland Gwyn and others:

Who brought up an Impeachment, as follows; (videlicet,)

"The Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, in Parliament assembled, in the Name of themselves and of all the Commons of England, do impeach John Goudet, David Barreau, Peter Longueville, Stephen Seignoret, Rene Bawdovin, Nicholas Santini, and Peter Dihearse, and every of them, of several High Crimes and Misdemeanors; and will, in due Time, exhibit particular Articles of Impeachment against the said Persons, and make good the same."

And also acquainted their Lordships, "That the said Persons are in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending their House, ready to be delivered to the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, when their Lordships shall please to give Order therein."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Message shall be resumed To-morrow Morning, at Eleven of the Clock.
