Upon reading the Petition of Oliver D'Harcourt, John Barraton, and John Vaugensinner, Officers in the late Marine Regiment commanded by Colonel Edward Dutton Colt; shewing, "That they were commanded on board The Streights Fleet, under Admiral Aylmer, the Sixth Day of September, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, since which the other Officers of the Army that were Foreigners have been naturalized; and praying Leave to bring in a Bill for their Naturalization:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave given them to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Mr. Annesley, One of the Commissioners appointed to inquire into the Forfeited Estates in Ireland (pursuant to the Order of the Eighteenth Instant), delivered, at the Bar of this House, the several Books intituled as followeth; (videlicet,)

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Carter and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Thomas Noble Gentleman to sell the undivided Third Part of the Manor of Foxton, in the County of Leicester, when he shall have settled other Lands (an entire Estate), of a greater Value, to the same Uses;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Libels, Report of Precedents for punishing the Authors of:

ORDERED, That the Committee appointed to inspect the Journals of this House, in relation to the punishing of Persons whose Books or Writings have been censured by this House, as scandalous Libels) be revived; to meet presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure.

The House was resumed.

And the Marquis of Normanby reported from the said Committee the Precedents following; (videlicet,)

Whereupon it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mathew Smith Esquire, now in the Custody of the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, shall be, and he is hereby, committed Prisoner to the Prison of The Gatehouse in Westm. until further Order of this House; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them; and to the Keeper of the Prison of The Gatehouse in Westm'r, his Deputies and Turnkeys, and every of them.
