The House being this Day moved, "That Sir Maurice Eustace may have further Time allowed him, for answering to the Petition and Appeal of James Carroll:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Maurice Eustace hath hereby Time allowed him for answering thereunto, until Wednesday the Sixth Day of March next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

May's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Thomas May Gentleman to sell Lands in the County of Suffolke, which were settled upon his Marriage; and to convey other Lands in the same County, of a greater Value, to the same Uses."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be referred to the same Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate of Bryan J'anson deceased, for Payment of Debts, and Provision for his Wife and Children," stands committed; who are to meet on Wednesday the Eight and Twentieth Instant, at the same Place.

Baldwin's Bill.

Dealers in E. India Goods against the Bill for employing the Poor in Manufactures, and prohibiting India Goods.

Upon reading the Petition of several Dealers in East India Goods, in Behalf of themselves and many others; praying to be heard, by their Counsel, against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual Employment of the Poor, and Encouragement of the Manufactures of England:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon, before the Second Reading of the said Bill; and any others who shall think themselves concerned may then also be heard, what they have to offer in relation to the said Bill.

Lane and Wood versus Nicoll.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Ralph Lane and Edward Wood, complaining of a Decree or Decretal Order, made in the Court of Chancery the Nineteenth Day of July last, on the Behalf of Charles Nicoll and Richard Young; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree or Order:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Charles Nicoll and Richard Young may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Friday the Three and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Sir Ed. Turnor versus Gee.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sir Edward Turnor Knight, complaining of a Decree in the Court of Chancery, the Twelfth of January One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-seven, and an Order of the Five and Twentieth Day of January One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, and subsequent Orders, on the Behalf of Francis Gee; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree and Orders, so far as relates to the charging the Petitioner, or his Estate, with Interest for One Thousand Pounds and Costs:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Francis Gee may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Six and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Union between England and Scotland, Committee to prepare a Bill to authorize Commissioners to treat about.

The House taking into Consideration, pursuant to the Order of the Tenth Instant, an Union between England and Scotland; and upon reading the Statute 22° Car. IIdi, Cap. 9. intituled, "An Act, authorizing certain Commissioners of the Realm of England to treat with Commissioners of Scotland, for the Weal of both Kingdoms:"

The Lords following are appointed a Committee, to prepare, and bring in, a Bill to the Effect of the said former Act:

Their Lordships, or any Three of them; to meet on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
