Upon reading the Petition of the Children of Sir
Peter Ricaut, against Sir Arthur Haselrigg:
It is Ordered, To be referred to the Committee for
Petitions, to hear all Parties concerned, and report as
they shall see Cause.
Persons who signed the Warrant for L. Capel's Execution.
Whereas this Day those Persons that are now in the
Custody of the Gentleman Usher, that have subscribed
their Hands, and set their Seals, to the Warrant of
the Execution of the Lord Capell, to see if they own
their Hands were to be brought to the Bar this Day:
It is Ordered, To be referred to the Committee
of Privileges.
E. of Sandwich introduced.
This Day Edward Mountagu was introducted, between
the Earl of North'ton and the Earl of Leichfeild, the
Lord Great Chamberlain and Garter at Arms going
before; and he having presented his Patent upon his
Knee to the Speaker, at the End of the Woolsack,
and it being delivered to the Clerk, it was read publicly. The said Patent bears Date the 12th Day of
July Instant, in the Twelfth Year of King Charles the
Second, whereby the said Edward Mountagu is created
Baron of St. Neotes, Viscount Hinchingbrooke, and Earl
of Sandwich.
After the Reading of the said Patent, he was brought
to his proper Place and Seat.
Smith's Information against the Committee of Leicester.
John Smyth having his Oath given him at the Bar;
he deposed, "That the Petition which he presented
to this House (being shewed to him) was true."
He presented likewise a Copy of Petition, which was
tendered to him by the Committee of Leycester to be
signed; and he was threatened to be imprisoned if he
did not subscribe it; and he was imprisoned by the
said Committee for not subscribing.
He said, "That Sir Arthur Hasilrigg was One of the
Committee, whose Hand was subscribed to it."

Ordered, That the Lord Brudnell hath Leave to
go to The Bath, for his Health.
Bill of Indemnity.
The House was adjourned into a Committee of the
