King's Answer concerning the Dutch Imposition on English Cloth.
The Lord Chancellor signified to the House, "That the Petition of both Houses, concerning the Imposition which the Dutch have laid upon Cloth, was delivered to the King; and His Majesty will give His Secretaries Direction to put Him in Mind concerning that Business, when there shall be any Treaty with the Dutch."
Sheriff of Northumberland's Appearance.
ORDERED, That the Appearance of the High Sheriff for the County of Northumb. is deferred till the 10th of November, concerning the Complaint of the Earl of Northumb.
ORDERED, That the Lord Treasurer and the Lord Robertes are added to the Committee for the Earl of Arrundell.
Bill to bring in Patents, &c. obtained during the Troubles.
The Earl of Dorsett reported the Bill for bringing in Grants and Patents; which the Committee thinks fit to pass, with some Alterations, which they offer to their Lordships Consideration; and, being read Twice, were approved of, and the Bill ordered to be ingrossed.
D. of Somerset's Bill.
The Earl of Dorsett reported from the Committee the Bill concerning the Lord Marquis of Hertford to be restored to the Dukedom of Somersett, with some Amendments and Alterations; which, being read Twice, were approved of.

And the Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass as a Law, with these Amendments and Proviso?"

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Colonel Jones and others:

L. Inchiquin's Bill.

Bristol Cause.
Upon Report of the Business concerning the City of Bristoll:
It is ORDERED, That it is recommended to the Care of His Majesty, to do therein as he shall see Cause, for the Good and Peace of that City; and the Lord Chancellor is appointed to signify so much to His Majesty.
Dutchy House.
ORDERED, The Dutchy House in The Strande, and all belonging thereunto, be forthwith delivered up into the present Possession of the Chancellor of the Dutchy; and that the Rents remaining in any of the Tenants Hands be detained, and delivered to the Lord Seymour, Chancellor of the Dutchy, or his Assigns.
Bill for restoring Ministers.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the confirming and restoring of Ministers."
Bristol Cause.
Upon the Report from the Lords Committees for Petitions, concerning the present State and Condition of the City of Bristoll, in relation to the Government thereof by Persons put into Authority there by the late pretended Powers, contrary to the Customs and Charter of the said City:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, for the preventing of any Disturbance in the Government of the said City for the future, That the whole Business be hereby humbly presented to the King's Most Excellent Majesty, to give such Direction therein as to His Majesty shall seem meet.
Order for Delivery of the Dutchy House to L. Seymour, Chanc.
The House being informed, "That Mr. William Browne and his Wife, with Mr. William Lambe and others, keep the Possession of one of His Majesty's Houses, called The Dutchy House, in The Strand, by Pretence of some Right derived from the late usurped Authority, and do refuse to render the Possession of the Premises, or to pay any Rents due or in Arrear for the same:"
It is ORDERED, &c. That the said Browne and Lambe, and all others unlawfully seised of the Premises, shall forthwith, upon Sight of this Order, depart, and deliver up the Possession of the said Dwelling-house, Stables, and all other Out-houses, Yards, and Appurtenances, unto the Lord Seymor, Chancellor of the Dutchy of Lancaster, his Assignee or Assigns, and also forthwith pay unto him or them all such Rents and Arrears of Rents as are not already paid for the said House and Premises, or any Part or Parcel thereof; any Pretence of Right by the said unlawful usurped Authority in any wise notwithstanding.
To all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, and other His Majesty's lawful Officers; to be assisting in the Execution of this Order.
Ives's Order concerning the Rectory of Stowe.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That the Sheriff of the County of Northampton is hereby impowered and required to take Care, to see the Order of this House, dated the 18th of August last, put in Execution in all Points, for and on the Behalf of William Ives Clerk, concerning the Tithes and Profits belonging to the Rectory of Stowe, in the said County of Northampton.

ORDERED, That all Orders made for securing any Persons for Things that are pardoned by the Act of Oblivion, or against any Persons upon Contempt for the same, be delivered in to Mr. Attorney General; and such Persons as are in Custody by the said Orders, or concerned therein, who he shall find to be pardoned by the said Act, be discharged forthwith.
Message from H. C. with Bills.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Denzell Holles Esquire; who brought up these Bills:
1. An Act for Confirmation of Marriages.
2. An Act for the speedy disbanding of the Army and Garrisons of this Kingdom.
3. The Bill for restoring of the Marquis of Hertford to the Dukedom of Somersett.

Upon Report of the Bill of the Lord Inchiquin, from the Committee, as being fit to pass as it is:
It is ORDERED, That the Bill shall be ingrossed.
ORDERED, That the Lord Lexington' Cause shall be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.
Stone's Order concerning the Rectory of Sigston.
Upon reading the Petition of Christopher Stone Clerk, and a Certificate thereunto annexed, whereby it appeared, "that the Petitioner is a Man of a good Conversation, and presented to the Rectory of Sigston, in the County of Yorke, Five or Six Years since, by the Patron; and hath a Resignation under the Hand and Seal of Nicolas Cordell, who notwithstanding hath procured the general Order for the sequestering of the Tithes and Profits of the said Rectory into the Churchwardens Hands:"
It is ORDERED, &c. That the said general Order, as to Nicolas Cordell aforesaid, is hereby revoked and made void; and that the Petitioner shall have, receive, and enjoy, the Tithes and Profits of the said Rectory, as though no such Order had been issued out as aforesaid; any Thing therein contained to the contrary notwithstanding.
Bill for draining Fens in Lincoln.
Upon the Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Act, intituled, "An Act for draining of the Level of the Fens in the County of Lincolne, extending itself from the River of Gleane and Bourne to Kyme Ea, as well within the Parts of Kestiven as Holland (The Eight Hundred Fen excepted), and from the said Kime Ea to the City of Lincolne, and thence Westward to the Banks of Trent, commonly called Lyndsy Levell," stands committed:
It is ORDERED, &c. That all such Persons, Inhabitants and Commoners within the said Level, or any Part thereof, who have any Thing to object against the Matters and Settlements mentioned in the said Act, be, and are hereby, required to attend that Committee on Tuesday the 13th Day of November next, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Prince's Lodgings, where they may be heard before any further Proceedings be made by the said Lords Committees concerning the said Act.
